Requirements:

In order to use Downloadable Audio Books from Recorded Books you must have:

  • An account with NetLibrary created from a computer in the Brighton District Library. NOTE: Once you've created your account you may download from anywhere.
  • A PC computer that runs Windows 2000 or Windows XP for downloading.
  • An Internet connection. For CD quality downloads (necessary for transferring to a portable device) you will need a Broadband or DSL Internet Connection. For radio quality downloads (can be run on a computer) you may use dial up.
  • Windows Media Player 9 or 10 installed on the PC you're using for downloading.
  • To play on a portable device you will need an MP3 player that plays WMP/DRM encrypted files (see Recommended Players on back page) NOTE: iPod does not support this standard. You may want an FM transmitter if you'd like to play your portable device in your car.
