FamilySearch Affiliate Status
We are pleased to announce that Brighton District Library has become the newest FamilySearch affiliate library.
FamilySearch is the world’s largest repository of genealogical records and manages the famous Family History Library in Salt Lake City. FamilySearch is extending access to its collections by circulating microfilms of the historic records through select public libraries.
Brighton District Library joins a select group of fewer than 120 libraries across the nation to have been afforded this honor.
Microfilms owned by the Family History Library may be ordered for a nominal fee of $6 per roll and may be viewed on the library’s digital microfilm reader whenever the library is open. Stop by the library’s Reference Desk to get complete information on both of these exciting new partnerships.
Check out the FamilySearch library catalog.
