FamilySearch Affiliate Status

We are pleased to announce that Brighton District Library is a FamilySearch affiliate library.

FamilySearch is the world’s largest repository of genealogical records and manages the famous Family History Library in Salt Lake City.  FamilySearch is extending access to its collections by circulating microfilms of the historic records through select public libraries.

Brighton District Library is one of a select group of libraries across the nation to have been afforded this honor.

Patrons can borrow microfilms owned by the Family History Library for a nominal fee and have them delivered to Brighton District Library.  The microfilms may be viewed on the library’s digital microfilm reader whenever the library is open.  Stop by the library’s Information Desk to get complete information on this exciting partnership.

Check out the FamilySearch library catalog.
