Standard way of describing where you are. Most commonly start
with http:// . Different endings
mean different things.
edu=education
gov=government
org=non-profit organization
net=internet organization
mil=military
uk=United Kingdom
ca=canada
each country has it's own ending
Hypertext / Hyperlinks
This is what allows you to move within a page or from page to
page. When you move over a link a little hand comes up. Click on
that link and before you know it you're all over the place!
Multimedia
The WWW is now able to support all kinds of media:
images
audio
video
animated graphics (such as the magnifying glass in the top
bar)
