Where to Go?

  • Peterson's Guide - Long known for their college information, the publishers of the Peterson's Guide have ventured into financial aid searches and test preparation as well. You can find profiles of thousands of colleges on this site.

How to Get In?

  • The College Board - All kinds of information from the people who brought you the SAT, PSAT, AP tests, the CLEP, and more. Register online for tests, research colleges, and apply online to the college of your choice.
  • Carleton College - This page gives tips about writing and editing that all-important document: the Admissions Essay.
  • LearnATest - Click on "log on at home" to log in with your driver's license ... this site has full practice versions of many standardized tests, including the ACT and SAT.

How to Pay for It?

  • FAFSA - The official site of the Government's Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This application is the one you need to fill out in order to apply for government grants and loans, such as the Pell grant and Stafford and Perkins loans. Copies of the form are available at the BDL Information Desk.
  • Scholarships.com - They ask for a lot of information about you and your interested and accomplishments, but in return, they match you to scholarships you might qualify for.
